Alternatively, if you prefer, we offer a $55 damage waiver. The House- Self’s Cottage is a quirky, comfortable, “post and beam” style house, built right onto an original 1840’s red brick cottage. The big backyard is surrounded by tall trees that provide private sanctuary and make you forget that Self’s is located right in the very centre of the busy Willunga township. Stroll out the back gate and right into the popular Willunga farmer's market or take a short walk into the High Street to pubs, shops, cafes and galleries. This comfy and versatile cottage is the perfect choice for groups of friends, families with children, cycling enthusiasts and weekend get aways. Self’s Cottage provides ideal accomodation for wedding guests, those hoping to get right in amongst the buzz of the Tour Down Under or as the perfect home base from which to explore the local wineries, restaurants and beaches. With bright, colourful furniture, comfortable beds, hotel linen, fast unlimited wifi and fully equipped kitchen plus modern aircon and heating, Self’s is a cosy and friendly place to retire after a fun day out or a big evening event. A sound sleep and a local cafe breakfast within walking distance provide the perfect finish to your stay. Well appointed with loads of parking, a generous outdoor entertaining area, BBQ, in-ground pool, and a large, lockable shed for cars or bicycles, everything has been thoughtfully provided to ensure all you need to do is turn up, settle in, relax and enjoy yourself. The Specifics- Room 1: Ground-floor master bedroom with double bed, ensuite and large walk-in closet. Room 2: Large sunny upstairs bedroom with double bed and view over the property. Room 3: Smaller cosy room with two single beds. Kitchen: Stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. Fully equipped with everything you need to cook and serve meals including all the BBQ gear. Outdoor area: Gas BBQ, 10 seater outdoor table and chairs, gazebo, pool with pool chairs, two car lockable shed.
Guests will have access to the whole of the house and fully enclosed garden.

The Town The historic, Willunga township and surrounding Fleurieu Peninsula are filled with things to see, do, eat and drink. Self’s Cottage places you within walking distance of all that Willunga township offers and it's just a short drive to gorgeous, local beaches, great pubs and restaurants, the famous McLaren Vale wine region and the Epicurean Way. Fill your baskets with fresh food at the bustling farmer’s market in the morning, spend the day exploring the region then whip up a feast to enjoy with a glass of wine or a beer as the sun sets over the beautiful backyard.
This was the perfect place for interstate visitors who travelled to attend a family event in Willunga. The green and private back yard is idyllic and the back yard BBQ and outdoor dining area perfect for gathering. We had access to basil, chillies, thyme, chives, parsley and a laden mandarin tree. The house is quirky and comfortable with one side a renovated 1850s cottage and the other a two storey, mud brick cottage built in the 1980s. Upstairs has baltic pine floors and a sunny aspect. Wifi is excellent. Combustion heater makes the lounge super cosy. It’s located in the heart of Willunga with an easy stroll to cafes, Russell’s pizza, the Saturday Farmer’s Market and the variety of High Street shops. Our guests were extremely happy with their stay.
This place was better than we could ever have expected. It had everything we needed with 2 young children. The communication was amazing when we needed to ask questions. It made for a very memorable holiday, thank you!

We had a lovely time. The house had lots of character and space and was really comfortable. We loved using the pool, and walking to the Willunga markets on Saturday morning. Would love to stay again!

lovely stay. great location . very friendly host, easy to contact. I think the bedroom downstairs needs a ceiling fan or some air-conditioning because it did get warm. the dyson fan in that bedroom is not very strong or useful. a wonderful stay and I love the vege garden and fruit trees. it is always helpful to have ice in the freezer and especially if the ice cube trays have water put in, not just left empty. 😁
We had a lovely few days in Willunga. The house is charming and the location is great.
